    WFO has General Consultative Status with the United Nations since 1948.

International Acknowledgment

Besides being affiliated to the United Nations by the General Consultative Status at the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), WFO is a very active partner of the Non-Governmental Section (UN NGO Section), the Division of Public Economics and Public Administration (UN DPEPA) and the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA).

WFO is also an official partner of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), the Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

WFO has General Consultative Status with the United Nations since 1948.

The Members

The members of WFO are formed by NGOs, Universities, Centers of Research and Studies, Parliamentary Bodies, Business Companies, Judiciary Power, Media and Families themselves that develop policies and strategies in relation to Family matters.

WFO has members in over 180 countries in all continents.
